Your way to SIXT

SIXT offers two rental desks at Cairns Airport. There is one in the arrivals hall of T1 (the international terminal), and another in the arrivals hall of T2 (the domestic terminal).



By Car

If you're arriving by car, drive into Cairns Airport via Captain Cook Highway (National Highway 1) and look for the sign posts to the rental car park.



With public transportation

We recommend taxis or Excellence Coaches that offer a shuttle bus to/from Port Douglas, Cairns CBD and Northern Beaches.



SIXT Parking

You will find our SIXT parking in the car rental car park at T1 and T2.



Return information

Please park your vehicle in SIXT allocated parking in T1 or T2 car rental returns car park. After parking take your keys to the SIXT counter.

Car hire at Cairns Airport couldn't be more convenient. CNS airport is situated just under 4 miles from the city centre, which can easily be reached in just a few minutes along Captain Cook Highway. After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, please call 180 0 4 PICKUP to alert our staff to your arrival. Then simply exit the arrivals hall and turn left out of the terminal building. From the International Terminal, walk to Bus Bay 6 to be met by our shuttle bus. From the Domestic Terminal, it's Bus Bay 4, over the pedestrian crossing, past the red and white boom gate to the Tour Group Pick Up.
