With little else in the way of transport infrastructure, hiring a car is the best way to discover the village of Soervagur, the island of Vagur and the other major islands of the Faroes. Close to Soervagur visitors can drive to Eggjarner to enjoy the spectacular view, or to the Ruth Smith Art Museum. From Vagur, those who choose car hire can drive to the island of Streymoy where they will find The Nordic House cultural centre and the Faroese National Gallery of Art in Torshavn. The Faroe Islands are a spectacular place to simply drive around as you drift through mountain tunnels, along rugged coastlines and enjoy open, empty roads.
