From the airport towards Hendaye, the regular ATCRB bus route serves Biarritz La Négresse train station and the towns of Bidart, Guéthary, St Jean de Luz using Chronoplus urban transport and then take the bus network. and Hendaye. To reach the Basque Country or Béarn, you must first go to Bayonne train station using Chronoplus urban transport and then take the train. To reach the Landes Coast, you should also go to Bayonne train station
To return the SIXT vehicle, follow the signs to "return rental car park" and park it next to our SIXT cabin. If the SIXT branch is closed, please please drop the keys in the key box on the right hand side of the branch.

The airport, also known as Biarritz-Parme Airport (BIQ), is located just 5km south of Biarritz itself, near Anglet and Bayonne. The facility can trace its origins back over a hundred years, to the founding of the Bayonne Biarritz Aviation Committee. Although it was only in 1977 that it was granted official 'International Airport' status, it now boasts over 100,000 passengers in some of the busy months. Car hire and Biarritz airport couldn't be easier, with a branch located right in the terminal, and it offers travellers the added level of independence and control over your travel once you get to this famous destination in the South of France.
As the airport is situated near the three towns of Biarritz, Anglet and Bayonne, there is plenty to see and do in the area. This part of France is a renowned sun trap, with excellent beaches making it a brilliant location for a chilled-out sun-soaked holidays. If sport is more your thing, you might be interested in the excellent surfing which takes place in the sea of the Bay of Biscay. We paid through our nose - but it was actually really easy to return the car, no dodgy "the insect on the windshield might not come off so we're charging you £5k" or other nonsense. Happy with the service. No Ubers available to get from Sixt ti airport terminal - but they/Sixt offered a cab number and one showed up in 5min and cost us £19
