Visit the Tulip Fields of Lisse from March to early May and you will be amazed at the gorgeous, colourful display. If you go at any other time, explore the 17th-century Keukenhof Castle and the Museum de Zwarte Tulp to find out more about the area's intriguing history.

Leiden is a lovely Dutch town and is known for its ancient architecture. The town also hosts the Netherlands' oldest University, which dates back to 1575 and is home to the pretty Leiden Botanical Gardens. Visit the Museum de Lakenhal, which features art by Dutch Masters like Rembrandt, one of Leiden's former residents.

The Jordaan is one of Amsterdam's most famous districts and is a must-see. Located just to the west of Amsterdam's Central Station, you can park your vehicle at Parking Centrum Oosterdokand and take time to visit this popular area. As well as seeing Ann Frank's House, spend time at the Lindengracht, a vibrant Saturday market. The district has many great places to eat and shops to browse, all of which will keep you entertained for at least an afternoon.
