Traffic Information

Traffic Information

If you are landing at Amsterdam airport, you can collect your vehicle direct from our office at the terminal. Schiphol Airport runs a direct train link to Amsterdam Central Station where we also have an office. All our Amsterdam branches benefit from the A10 ring road, which improves access to different parts of the city. The ring road connects to major routes like the A1, A8, and A5 and these lead to different parts of the country and beyond to help drivers access and explore the Netherlands. Driving into Amsterdam's city centre often involves navigating narrow streets with pedestrians and cyclists. As in any built-up urban area, driving can be challenging. Therefore, when you hire a car, it is good to know that you can benefit from the city's park and ride scheme or use central car parks for convenience.

Once you have picked up your vehicle, you may be tempted to explore wonderful Amsterdam. The Royal Palace is a particular landmark and there are also some fascinating museums, including the Van Gough museum and Ann Frank House. Having your own transport means you can drive out of the city and explore further afield. If business is the purpose of your trip, your vehicle will give you easy access to the various business districts and industrial parks. When it comes to parking in Amsterdam, you can use public parking areas like P1 Parking in the city centre. From here, you can easily explore the best of the city centre. As a low emission zone, cars must comply with certain standards and all our vehicles comply with the latest regulations.

Solid experience. The rental car was damaged on the exterior but since it was noted as prior damage and all superficial (scratches, bumps and bruises), it didn’t matter. The Hyundai Kona is a fun car to rent on a budget. Worth it this trip for sure
