On this trip to Costa Brava with two girl friends, we decided to once again rent a car at Girona train station after taking the train up from Barcelona. The Sixt office is just across the street from the station and access is simple even with luggage. We were warmly welcomed by Jaume who was extremely helpful and friendly. He was concerned that the car we rented was too small given our large bags and helped us to put everything in the car himself to be sure we were comfortable. He took the time to explain the ins and outs of the contract and also explained to us what to do in an emergency. While you could say that this was his job, it was done with such sincere warmth and friendliness we felt welcome and assured. The car was as expected and we had a comfortable trip. Returning the car at the Passeig de Gracia center was simple and the staff there was also very helpful, reassuring me that I had returned the car to the correct place. The key drop was in an obvious location and within minutes after dropping the key, the return was acknowledged by email. This is my best car rental experience out of Girona station to date (and I’ve rented several times before), and I will certainly use Sixt again.
