A free shuttle bus can pick you up from the airport and take you to our Sixt San Diego rent a car office in around 5-10 minutes. If landing at Terminal 1, take the escalator adjacent to the main baggage claim up to the rental car shuttle pick up area. When arriving into Terminal 2 the shuttle pick up is across the street and if you are at the commuter terminal, please call +1-619-363 6000 as the shuttle only comes as needed.

I wanted to share my experience because I think reviews have a bias to attract people who had negative experiences. I had a 10/10 experience renting a dodge challenger from this company. They showed me exactly what I will be charged (I prepaid online) and explained how they assess damages to a car which helped quell my anxiety. They didn’t try to charge me for anything that was already wrong with the car and the return inspection/process was very easy. He told me on the spot I would receive my deposit back in full. They were also very nice and gave me a complimentary upgrade because they overbooked my car. All in all, I would 10000% recommend them, just be very clear that you don’t want any of their add-ons and you should be golden! My only tip is do your own inspection! There was straw wrappers and a beverage stain on the gear shift when I received the car. They will take care of that for you once you point it out.
