When I checked in online to select my vehicle they did not have the vehicle type I had reserved, and all the other options I was being offered had an up charge to the one I had reserved. So I did not choose anything and I waited until I checked in at the airport. The clerk was able to give me a vehicle that was on the same list I was offered online, without up charging me since it was not my fault they did not have the vehicle I reserved. The vehicle I ended up getting was a BMW 840i Gran Sport instead of the BMW 5 series I had reserved. I really wanted the 5 series because I am seriously considering purchasing one in the near future, and I wanted an extended test drive while on vacation with my wife to see if we liked it. Although a bit more expensive than the 5 series, it was an excellent choice because it had all of the options we are looking at in the one we want to purchase, and then some. However the vehicle had a mechanical problem where it had a pretty rough ride at highway speeds. Lots of vibrations over 40 MPH until about 80 MPH. Maybe the tires need balancing. I was driving a considerable distance form the airport and it was late, so I did not call for a replacement vehicle and just dealt with the rough ride. Unfortunately in the 840i, the rear seats did not fold down and we had a considerable amount of luggage. I ended up having to put luggage in the back seat as well as the ample trunk. This was my fault, since another option would have been the BMW X-5 SUV, which I declined because I don't like SUV's. Overall an excellent experience. And I would definitely consider again. They have premium vehicles at reasonable prices.
