Our SIXT branch is located under the DFO in Docklands.



By Car

Enter the Wilson Car Park from either Spencer Street or Lonsdale Street. Once through the boom gates, turn right and SIXT car park is sign posted.



With public transportation

There is plenty of public transport options around. The southern cross station is only 100 meters away and a short walk from the Lonsdale Street/Spencer Street tram stop.

A bus station is located behind the SIXT branch.

Our SIXT parking area is located in the Wilson Car Park, which can be accessed either from Spencer Street or Lonsdale Street.



Return information

When returning a vehicle, please enter the Wilson's carpark on the corner of Lonsdale Street and Spencer Street. Once through the boom gates, turn right where you will be able to find the SIXT car park where one of our friendly staff will be awaiting. If returning a vehicle after hours, please park the vehicle in a parking bay closest to the SIXT car park, then head down to the SIXT main office located along Spencer Street and enter via the bus terminal. You will find the after hours key box located at the back door where you will be able to return the key.

In March we rented an 8 passenger Kia for a trip from Sydney to Melbourne. The experience was mixed. We came to Sixt by way of a consolidator that pops up when you search for car rentals. It seemed like a great price especially considering that we were dropping the car off in a different city. We ended up dropping the car off early by many days and expected a refund of the balance. Were we surprised to find, buried in the fine print of the consolidators, that the consolidator does not do refunds. Next time we will deal with the car rental company directly.

We contacted Sixt customer support and were dealt with very fairly given the circumstances. I'd recommend Sixt but not the consolidator.

Booked a large people carrier from the UK through Emirates and got a ok deal.

We initially booked for 3 weeks and then I was able to extent by another 2 weeks. It is not cheap for sure but we were really happy with the car we got and the service from Sixt was prompt and easy. Staff on phone and in person were helpful and easy to deal with.

 

Easy pick up from the adjacent car park and drop off was really easy too. We paid the for the full insurance cover which was totally worth it as we got the side of the car scraped. But no extra payment needed.

 

Would use again but as I say they are not cheapest around.
