Good to know when renting in Cyprus
In Cyprus it’s required that any renter has held a valid licence for at least 3 years and it must be accompanied by an ID such as your passport.
There are no tolls to pass through in Cyprus so no need to worry or plan for that, within the cities the parking system is very straightforward and runs on hourly costs.
If you decide to pay on arrival simply select so while booking, you’ll also gain the benefit of free cancellation any time with this option
Our Cyprus branches accept all major forms of credit card including American Express; however, we do not accept debit cards, cash or prepaid cards.
Remember that in Cyprus you must drive on the left-hand side and overtake on the right, it is also prohibited to eat or drink anything while driving!
Although there will be a surcharge, drivers as young as 21-years old can hire a car in Cyprus, though licence requirements still stand.
