Our SIXT branch is not in the terminal directly. You have to take the shuttle bus (PR3). The bus stop is outside of the arrival hall, you can follow the indications (One Bus Stop stop at Terminal 2 only for the duration of the shutdown of Terminal 1). This is a free shuttle, running every day from 5am to midnight and it comes every 7 min. Out of those shuttle hours, you can contact the bus driver with an intercom. If you come from the train station, you have to follow the indication to go in the airport (Terminal 2/ car rental). Then you have to go downstairs to the arrival hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Follow the car rental signs and you can take the shuttle bus.

Car hire at LYS isn’t located directly in the terminal, but it’s easy to find after you have landed. Take the free PR3 shuttle bus to the car hire branch, which can be found by following the signs in the arrival hall. There’s no need to rush as these buses are scheduled very often throughout the day. If you have arrived from the train station, there will be similar signs pointing you to the same bus service. When it comes to returning your car, follow sings for ‘Location de Voitures’, which directs you to the SIXT branch at Rue d’Autriche. From here, you can catch the free bus to the airport.

Once the car wasn’t ready but the gentleman who is in charge of getting the car cleaned and ready rushed it so I did not have to wait to much and within 10mn the car was ready and I was hitting the road. Much appreciated!
